Full Day Training

This training is suitable to supervisors, JH&S committee members or anyone in the organization who has been designated to perform ergonomic hazard assessments. Customized training incorporates images and situations from your organizations work environment.

Participants learn the fundamental principles of ergonomics and MSD prevention, learn how to identify and prioritize areas of concern and learn to develop practical solutions for improvement. Topics include:

  • The impact of Ergonomics?
  • Ontario's MSD Prevention Program
  • What are Musculoskeletal Disorders?
  • Common signs and symptoms of MSDs
  • Main hazards that can contribute to MSDs
  • Identifying hazards in the workplace
  • An introduction to ergonomic risk assessments
  • Prioritizing actions for improvement
  • Reporting findings and building a case for change
Deliverables include training manuals and a certificate of participation upon completion of the course.
